About Jargar:
Jargar strings were created by Jarl Hansen, a cellist in the Royal Danish Opera Orchestra. He establishes the Jargar Company in the 1950s.
Today Jargar are a family-owned company in Copenhagen. They uphold a tradition for world-class handmade strings for violin, viola, cello and double bass.
Each skilled stringmakers finish about 60 perfect strings a day. The care, dedication and professional pride that each stringmaker puts into her or his work produces the characteristic warmth and brilliance of sound, unique to Jargar strings.
