The Yamaha Silent Brass SX6 Studio Mixer is a 6 channel headphone/amp/mixer, that lets you and your friends jam as loud as you want, without making a sound.
When musicians get together, they want to play. But finding a place to jam isn't always easy, especially if the hour is late. That's why Yamaha created the SX6 Silent Studio Mixer!
The SX6 is a 6-channel headphone amp/ mixer that lets you and your friends jam just as loud as you want-without making a sound! Other stereo instruments can be connected as well, using channels 5 & 6. There is also a special input for the ST9, or any other special effects or reverb unit.
It's perfect for use with Yamaha's Silent Instrument Series as well as with electronic instruments. It provides complete control of balance and mix, yet only those wearing headphones will hear it. It also lets you record your rehearsals too. It is possible to get complete control of balance and mix. All 6 inputs have separate headphone outputs. There is an additional headphone output for the full mix. It can also connect the unit to external powered speakers or PA system.
Each input has 6 individual controls:
* Trim (with peak indicator light)
* Input volume
* Pan (from left to right in stereo mode)
* Aux (controls the level coming from ST7 or effects box)
* Balance (to balance your instrument against the others)
Other controls include:
* stereo out
* Aux return
* phantom (on/off)
* stereo/mono.
This is a very advanced piece of equipment, with great possibilities. The front panel has 6 sets of input & phone connections. The rear has other connections, power switches & DC input.
